Biography
Dr. Li Dongmei received her medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2006 and completed her postdoctoral research at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in 2014. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she studied alongside renowned TCM experts, including Professor Cao Hongxin, Professor Zhao Jiping, Professor Xu Pengling, and Professor Tang Qiang. She has published more than 20 academic papers, including SCI articles, and has conducted numerous lectures on TCM and acupuncture.
She specializes in combining acupuncture and medication to treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, enuresis, cervical and lumbar diseases, allergic diseases, tinnitus and deafness. Before joining United Family Healthcare, Dr. Li served as the Vice President and Director of Acupuncture at Beijing Gulou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
She has published multiple books including “Annotations of Medical Cases from Four Great TCM Masters in Beijing,” “Introduction to Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Cupping, and Guasha,” and “Traditional Chinese Medicine Application Therapy.” She is Vice Chairman, Deputy Secretary-General, and Executive Director of several TCM and acupuncture professional committees in China. Dr. Li has also appeared on Beijing Radio and Beijing TV to help foster greater understanding about the benefits of TCM. She is committed to using TCM theories and clinical acupuncture to help people overcome illnesses and health issues.
Dr. Li has received multiple awards including “National Talent in TCM Innovation,” the first “Beijing TCM Role Model,” Dongcheng District Anti-Epidemic Pioneer, Dongcheng District “Star of Hope” TCM practitioner.
