Biography
Dr. Jing Niu received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tianjin Medical University in 2008 and later received her Master’s Degree from University College London UK in 2016.
Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Niu worked at the PLA 306 Hospital and the Beijing DCN Orthopedic Hospital, where she received her orthopedic training. While in London, Dr. Niu studied hip and knee arthroplasty under Prof. Alister Hart, a renowned professor in joint surgery. She also completed an internship of Musculoskeletal Science at the Royal National Orthopedics Hospital and Royal Free Hospital in UK and published her academic thesis.
Dr. Niu completed an academic visitor program in Sports Medicine at the New York Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in the U.S.A,and a visiting fellowship in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital. In addition, she also completed the AO Trauma Basic training, the International Wrist Arthroscopy Advanced Workshop endorsed by Asia Pacific Wrist Association (APWA), and professional knee & shoulder arthroscopy advanced training. Dr.Niu is also certified in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.
Dr. Niu has over 15 years of experience in clinical practice. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries such as arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and wrist (e.g., meniscus repair, cruciate ligaments reconstruction, reconstruction of patellar dislocation, rotator cuff repair, treatment for shoulder impingement syndrome, and treatment for wrist injuries). She is also skilled in ultrasound-guided precise treatment for chronic joint pain,diagnosis and treatment of limb and back swellings.
Dr.Niu has experiences of providing medical services at many sports competitions, including the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and participated in many charity activities. In addition, she also participated in the translation of many academic books.
