Biography
Dr. Cai Lang received her Medical Degree from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) where she learned both Western and Chinese medical disciplines. She went abroad for further study, completing a Master’s Degree in Health Studies at the
University of Brighton (U.K.). Throughout her education, Dr. Cai has studied a wide variety of medical disciplines.
Dr. Cai started her career at Dongzhimen Hospital – an affiliate of BUCM – in Pediatrics, Neurology, and Acupuncture. She gained a wealth of clinical experience during her 14-year tenure in the hospital. From 1999 to 2010, Dr. Cai worked as a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician and acupuncturist in the U.K. and Germany.
Dr. Cai returned to Beijing and joined BJU in 2011. She specializes in acupuncture and supplements her practice with lifestyle counseling and an extensive knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine. She has extensive experience treating various conditions, including pain in head & neck, shoulder, low back, legs, pain in joints, facial palsy, paresis following a stroke, depression, anxiety, sleeping disorder, chronic conditions of cardiovascular, gastro-intestinal, and respiratory systems, some ENT disorders, insufficiency of the immune system, menstrual disorders and menopause, and some pediatric disorders, such as digestion conditions, abnormal bowel movements, lingering cough, and chronic skin disorders.
