- Graduated from Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and obtained bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in 1994 and 2003, respectively
- Studied under the guidance of Professor Wang Yongyan, an academician of the CAE Member, and Professor Han Jingxian, a national famous TCM master
