Biography

Dr. Meng graduated from Harbin Medical University in 2006 and completed residency training, obtaining a doctor’s degree in medicine. After graduation, Dr. Meng worked at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital for many years.
Before working at Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Meng was focused on gastrointestinal surgery, metabolic weight loss surgery, and hernia surgery.
Dr Meng has over 20 years of clinical experience. In addition to focusing on benign and malignant tumors in gastrointestinal surgery, Dr. Meng is particularly expert at metabolic surgery (sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass) to treat obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, and using fundoplication to treat gastroesophageal reflux and esophageal hiatal hernia. Dr. Meng also handles minimally invasive abdominal surgery using laparoscopy and robots.
Dr. Meng received minimally invasive surgery training at the UCSF Medical Center in the United States. In addition, Dr. Meng has published several academic articles in top medical journals at home and abroad. Dr. Meng is an ASMBS-certified surgeon of American Society of Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery. At present, only a few doctors in China have obtained this certification.
