Maomao LIU

Dr. Liu graduated from China Medical University in 1987 and obtained a master’s degree in Neurology from Capital Medical University in 2003. From 1987 to 1994, Dr. Liu completed standardized residency training in the Neurology Department at the Boai Hospital affiliated with the China Rehabilitation Research Center and the Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University. He also rotated through various clinical departments and became proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological diseases, including cerebrovascular diseases, post-stroke rehabilitation assessments, neurodegenerative diseases, intracranial infections, and peripheral nerve diseases.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Liu worked in the Department of Epilepsy at the Neurology Center of Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of various types of epilepsy, comorbidities, and long-term management of epilepsy.

Dr. Liu has over 30 years of clinical practice experience. In addition to focusing on diagnosing and treating various types of epilepsy patients, Dr. Liu also received training as a specialist in neurology at the First Hospital of Beijing Medical University and standardized training on EEG technology from the China Association Against Epilepsy. He undertook the national key research and development program “Research on Prevention and Control of Major Chronic Non-communicable Diseases” and has a professional qualification in Electroencephalography and GCP Certificate issued by the China Association Against Epilepsy. In addition, Dr. Liu has published several academic articles in renowned medical journals such as the Chinese Journal of Geriatrics and the Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Liu is a certified internal medicine physician by the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China. He is also a member of the Epilepsy Professional Committee of the Beijing Neurology Society and a member of the China Association Against Epilepsy.
