Specialties
With 40 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching in gastroenterology, Professor Qian has extensive clinical experience and is skilled in handling various complex and difficult cases in gastroenterology. Her specialties include:
▪ Inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease)
▪ Pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer
▪ Irritable bowel syndrome

Work Experience
▪ Promoted to Chief Physician at Peking Union Medical College Hospital in 1996
▪ Second-level professor in the Department of Gastroenterology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital
▪ Led major public welfare projects on the diagnosis and treatment standards of inflammatory bowel disease, significantly improving its diagnostic and therapeutic levels

Academic Achievements
▪ Undertook multiple significant scientific research projects, completed several national-level research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China as the principal investigator, and led the national epidemiological survey on common upper gastrointestinal diseases in China, among other studies
▪ Conducted research on the pancreas, inflammatory bowel disease, and gut microbiota, from clinical to basic studies, and authored consensus opinions on the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, pregnancy-related aspects, and opportunistic infections
▪ Published over 400 articles as a corresponding or first author, with more than 100 indexed in SCI journals
