Shuping YU

Dr. Yu has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for more than 40 years and has been the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beijing Hui Min Hospital for more than 30 years. She has extensive clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, treating multiple and common obstetrics and gynecology diseases, uterine fibroids, ovarian tumors, ectopic pregnancy and other gynecologic emergencies and family planning procedures. She specializes in perinatal health care, management of high-risk pregnancy, delivery and obstetric complications, labor management, and management of obstructed labor. Dr. Yu also handles Cesarean sections, total and subtotal hysterectomies, obstetric critical care, and treatment of pregnancy complications. She has mastered the skills of vaginal midwifery, high-risk cesarean sections, and treatment and monitoring of critically ill mothers.

She has served as a member of the expert group of obstetrics and family planning, and a member of the Medical Accident Evaluation Committee. Dr. Yu has received an award for 10,000 accident-free family planning surgeries from the Beijing Municipal People’s Government and has received two district-level science and technology progress awards. She has published many papers in academic journals.
