• Graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College and Peking University Third Hospital in 1991, 2001 and 2005, respectively, with a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree in medicine
• Visiting scholar in the Department of Nephrology, Duke University Medical Center (USA)
• Exchange student in gerontology, Hopkins University School of Medicine (USA) and Dalhousie University School of Medicine (Canada)

Work Experience

• Prior to joining Beijing United Family Hospital in 2022, Dr. Yang worked at Beijing Hospital, serving as Chief Resident, Attending Physician, and Deputy Chief Physician in internal medicine and nephrology, and was promoted to Chief Physician in 2006.
• Named doctoral supervisor of Peking Union Medical College in 2017 and Professor at Peking University Health Science Center in 2018
• From 2009 to 2012, oversaw the nephrology ward and Hemodialysis Center at Beijing Hospital

Academic Achievements

• Published over 60 SCI papers and Chinese core journal papers
• Trained eight doctoral and master’s students
• Received RMB930,000 in research funding, including from the National Natural Science Foundation of China
• Published two monographs
