Biography
Dr. Liu received his medical degree from The Fourth Military Medical University in 1987 and was later awarded a master’s degree in medicine from Tianjin Medical University.
Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Liu worked at the General Military Hospital as well as in the clinical departments of the 254th, 263rd, and 264th PLA Hospitals.
Dr. Liu has over 30 years of clinical experience. In addition to specializing in the treatment and diagnosis of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, thyroid, and breast diseases, as well as hernias, Dr. Liu is skilled in open surgery, laparoscopic surgery, da Vinci Robotic surgery and endoscopic surgery. This includes Whipple’s operation and laparoscopic Miles’ operation.
Dr. Liu has served as a member of the Military Academic Committee of Colorectology, a member of the China Regional Committee of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association, a member of the Professional Committee of General Surgery of the Beijing Military Region, and a member of the Professional Committee of Anorectal diseases of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. Dr. Liu has also undertaken a scientific research project of the Ministry of Health, “Laparoscopic Minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of colorectal cancer standardized research” (in charge), as the first author published more than 20 academic papers.
