Internal Medicine

Our Internal Medicine Department consists of experienced physicians and well-known internal medicine experts from external hospitals. We uphold the JCIA standards, adhere to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine as the criterion, equipped with a nursing team with extensive experience, paying attention to the combination of physical, social, and emotional treatment, and are committed to humanized, professional nursing.

Service Scope

Currently, the Internal Medicine Department offers multidisciplinary consultation and long-term management of chronic diseases, including outpatient, emergency, inpatient, and ICU treatment of endocrinology, rheumatology and immunology, and allergies. The hospital has modern examination equipment including spiral CT, magnetic resonance imaging, and contrast room, and is equipped with an endoscopic examination center, which can complete screenings for lung function, bone density tests, electroencephalogram/electromyography, and sleep monitoring; providing patients with specialist examinations.

Respiratory Medicine

Respiratory Medicine can provide patients with high-quality outpatient, emergency, inpatient, and respiratory critical care. Respiratory disease experts are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently occurring diseases of the respiratory system, as well as a variety of critical diseases, including:

  • Asthma, occupational lung diseases
  • Trachea, bronchitis, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Acute and chronic cough
  • Infectious respiratory diseases (pneumonia, tuberculosis, etc.)
  • Motor-related dyspnea
  • Pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis

Cardiovascular Medicine

Our Cardiology specialists follow international diagnosis and treatment guidelines and adopt global standard diagnosis and treatment strategies. Our physicians’ rich clinical experience and advanced treatment techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction), structural heart disease (valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy), congenital heart disease (atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, patent foramen ovale), various arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular or ventricular tachycardia, bradycardia, arrhythmia), hypertension, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, and cardiac neurosis.

You can visit our Cardiovascular Center for routine ECGs, echocardiography, treadmill tests, stress echocardiography, cardiopulmonary function test (CPET), ambulatory blood pressure, 24-hour ECG (Holter), long-range ECG (ECG can be continuously monitored for 1 to 30 days), limb artery function test (degree of arteriosclerosis), coronary artery CTA and CT-FFR (coronary blood flow reserve score determined by CTA results), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and intelligent double-heart test.

Endocrinology

Our Endocrinology section comprises endocrinologists, nurses, and top experts from 3A hospitals such as Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Anzhen Hospital.

The Diabetes Center of the Endocrinology Department has several diabetes specialists and diabetes nurses, as well as high-performance examination equipment, including dynamic blood glucose monitoring, insulin pumps, body fat meters, and dynamic blood pressure monitoring. We cooperate with multiple departments in our hospital to provide scientific and standardized diagnosis and treatment for all patients with Type 2 diabetes, adults and children with Type 1 diabetes, and patients with gestational diabetes.

With the increasing incidence of thyroid disease every year, Endocrinology conducts continuous follow-ups and observation of patients with thyroid disease in our hospital. Medical services are also provided for pregnant women with thyroid diseases in close cooperation with Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Allergy

The scope of diagnosis and treatment in Allergy includes:

  • Dermatitis (atopic and allergic)
  • Bronchial asthma
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Food and drug allergies
  • Hereditary angioedema
  • Insect bites

Testing methods include allergen-specific antibodies, an IgE test, and patch tests.

  • COVID-19 Disease Clinic

Green fast track for patients with COVID-19: Patients who don’t have a fever (temperature below 37.3°C) but are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat) can make an appointment to get medication prescribed, avoiding waiting in the fever clinic.

  • COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic

The UFH Post-Acute COVID-19 Team (UFH PACT) Program launched the United Family COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program in December 2022.

The COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program is a team of specialists in respiratory, geriatrics, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and physical rehabilitation to provide interdisciplinary, standardized care that meets the unique medical needs of individuals recovering from shortness of breath, fatigue, headache, palpitations, mental health, and cognitive disorders as part of the after-effects of COVID-19.

The COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic scientifically evaluates your physical condition after you’ve recovered from COVID-19 using professional internal medicine and TCM doctors through a professional and standardized assessment questionnaire. We then prepare:

  • Tailor-made designated periodic rehabilitation plan to help you recover faster and return to health.
  • Chinese medicine is available in three dosage forms: decoction pieces, decoction, and granules, providing a variety of options for the patient.
